Law Enforcement Request Protocols
Align shares user data with government agencies only when presented with valid legal process, or in a genuine emergency. The site holds very little: waitlist entries and Houston Beta order records. There are no profiles, messages or location histories.
01 · What we hold
- Waitlist entries: name, email, birthdate, city, sign-up date, age eligibility derived from birthdate and opt-in choice.
- Houston Beta orders: name, email, purchase date and Stripe transaction ID. Card details are held by Stripe, not Align.
- Limited technical logs (such as IP addresses) kept by Cloudflare for a short period.
02 · How to submit a request
Email support@comealign.com from an official government address. Include the agency, officer name and badge number, the legal process attached, the email address of the person concerned, and the records and dates sought.
03 · What we require
- Subpoena or court order: for waitlist and order records.
- Emergency: if someone faces imminent danger of death or serious physical injury, put "EMERGENCY" in the subject line. We may disclose without process under 18 U.S.C. § 2702.
- Preservation: on request, we will preserve the identified records for 90 days while you obtain process.
- Payment and card records must be requested from Stripe directly.
04 · Notice to users
We tell affected users about a request before disclosing their data, unless a court order or the law prohibits it, or it is an emergency.
